Community gas reduction firing Aug 20th

The Potters Guild of BC is firing our gas kiln again on Aug 20th, 2022, unload Aug 28th.

We welcome you to register for cubic footage for this cone 10 reduction firing.

One slot = one cubic foot of work.

-If you are bringing multiple cubic feet of work, please sign up for spots in sequential time slots rather than multiple spots in the same time slot.

-Bring bisque fired, waxed pots in a cone 10 suitable clay.

-Please do not bring glazed work - we only be firing pieces that are glazed on site using the glazes we provide.

-All glazes are cone 10. This will be a cone 10 reduction firing.

-We provide five glazes to use: Carbon Trap Shino by Malcolm Davis, Chun by Robin Hopper, Celadon by Tom Buck, Soft White by Keith and Celia Rice-Jones, and Tenmoku Rust.

-Participants will pay $25+ tax per cubic foot of space used in the kiln. You will be invoiced by the PGBC after you register for spots.

-Pick up your work on Sunday Aug 28th from 12- 3pm. The kiln will be opened at noon, and participants are encouraged to participate in the kiln opening and unloading. It is the best part of the firing!
